The race course navigates the rolling pastoral and wooded landscape of Falmouth’s Community Park, Town Forest and Hadlock Forest trails. The race begins on wide trails along the perimeter of fields before weaving in and out of the woods on a variety of trails from smooth and flat to twisting, rooty and rocky. The 5 mile race turns back at 2.5 miles to complete the loop while the 10 miler crosses Winn Road to continue to Hadlock Forest before returning. Click on image at left to enlarge

Rules of the Race

  • No Litering: Please do not drop any trash on the trails. If you take a cup from the aid station please leave it where a volunteer can easily find it to pick it up.
  • Share the Trails. This is a community park that receives a lot of use from walkers, dogs and bicycles. We do not have exclusive use of the trails so please be considerate towards other users.
  • No Headphones/Ear Buds. All runners must be able to hear course volunteers, other runners and other users of the park.
  • Stay on Course. Do not cut corners or go off trail. If you find that you have inadvertently gone off course please backtrack to where you went wrong, don’t just look for a shortcut back on course.
  • Race numbers must be worn on the front and be visible at all time, and be accessible by a volunteer at the finish line.

Failure to abide by these rules will result in disqualification.

  1. Hi, I was wondering what the prize structure looked like for these races.

    Thank you!

  2. Hello Jeff,

I am contacting you from the Maine Sports Commission and am working on updating events that appeared on the MSC Events Calendar in 2016 (or annually) and am wondering if this event will be happening in 2017. If so, please let me know if you have set a date yet. I understand it’s still early.

Please feel free to email me the information when available.

[email protected]. My cell phone is 207.615.8020.

    Thanks very much, Jeff.

    Sheila
